LaLa Ray was born Shantella Ray-Sumblin in Berkeley Californina, a few years after she was born she was brought to Georgia and after that its been one move after another within the state of georgia. Moving around and having to start over lala was a bit of a loner & very shy when it came to new people. lala was never the "popular" girl in school nor the one with the hottest clothes, if she was in a clique in school it would be "athletic" lala thrived in sports playing everything from softball to basketball, volleyball, soccer, then she finally settled with track & dance. Dance is one of lala's first loves, she had been dancing since she was little  her mother was a dancer as well but essentially gave up on that dream. LaLa was co-captain and assistant choreographer, she always found it fun to make up new dances to new songs while dancing she found she had the gift of learning from sight which she thought would be very helpful as she planned to graduate and go to college and major in dance and one day be as big as some of her role model choreographers. Unfortunallly around 11th grade lala found her legs were kind of giving out on her and senior year it got worse so after graduating high school she began to think more realistically about her dance career. Not being able to go to college due to financial issues lala stayed behind while her boyfriend went off to school and she decided to start making youtube videos of her dancing she began to get a bit of a following. LaLa after that decided to venture out into modeling, something she's always wanted to do. As the months passed on lala also began to gain a relationship with god, something she had always steared clear from out of fear, fear of what? no clue...but she began to realize that she was good at just about anything that came her way, she was blessed and didnt want to take any gift that god blessed her for granted & initially wanted to conquer EVERYTHING! She had always known she wasnt a 9 to 5 regular working girl she just wanted to entertain, give opportunities, & be her own Boss. LaLa in 2011 started i.Grind a internet radio show, and began interviewing people who were just like her grinding at their talents, making their own opportunities, trying to make it towards their dreams. She has interviewed models, aspiring rappers, even some people who have been on tv like Stasi & Kayla from the Bad Girls Club, little play boi, etc. Now lala is currently turning i.Grind into i.Grind Enterprise which produces a number of things. LaLa's Motto in life is "Never Settle" the reason being is because there are so many people when they were young had big dreams and then as they got older gave up on those dreams because "society" said it wasnt a real job o/r they kept getting rejected, etc. and she has made it up in her mind that she will never settle, even if her businesses and things dont go the way she wants them to it doesnt matter, she would rather be broke & do what she loves than be making money somewhere at a desk wondering What If. LaLa loves making music, her voice is very strange and thats what sets her apart that and the fact that her music isnt about going to the club and throwing "stacks" like everyone else she talks about real things, real feelings. LaLa likes to make smooth music something heartfelt but you can still bang your head to. She's not tryna make it from music, it is just a hobby she's been writing songs for forever, that andrap,  poems, and stories, and scripts. She recently started a new hobby: painting. she enjoyed it more than she thought she would and now will never put the paint brushes down.
